Located in the Community Resources Centre at Building 4, Laver Place, our library offers a selection of books for adults, children, and teens. We also have a variety of large print books, audiobooks, and DVDs for hire.

Whether you’re passing through and need to print some final documents before you begin the Outback Way, or are a Laverton resident who wants to read more, everyone is welcome to join us.

We’re excited to announce our recent partnership between the Kalgoorlie Bookshop and Laverton’s Community Resource Centre.

Thanks to their generous support, our library now features a magazine rack for you to flick through. Settle down in a comfy chair and browse through our latest selection.

These magazines are for in-library enjoyment only and aren’t available for loan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member to visit the library?

No. We welcome you to come and visit us to study or read. If you’d like to take books home with you, you will require an active membership.

Joining is free and easy! Visit us in person with identification or proof of address, and we can sign you up. Children under 18 will need a guardian to sign for them.

If you’re a visitor to Laverton, please visit the library with valid identification so we can issue a temporary card. You can use this card for up to three months.

Up to 10 books for three weeks at a time. If you would like more time with your book, please call us on (08) 9031 1800 to request more time.

Yes, you can print, scan, and copy in our library for a small fee. Please speak to our Community Resource Centre Manager for help.
